Internet of Things era is upon us! Thousands of new devices are connected to the global web every day. The line between physical and digital is becoming more and more blurred. Contextual computing and constant connectivity make possibilities for technology almost limitless. That’s why we’ve started Hacktory Kraków: to bring the hottest gadgets and smartest hackers in the world together. 8 hours of tinkering with things like Google Glass, Oculus VR and Estimote Beacons!

Meet us at 10 AM on April 5th in BAL na Zabłociu. Write your code and shape the future!

What am I gonna do?
Build amazing mobile apps connected with contextual computing and the Internet of Things. You’ll have a chance to play with Google Glass, Oculus VR, Estimote Beacons, Philips Hue, iRobot Roomba, Double, Pebble, Orbotix Sphero and more.

What’s the agenda?
The whole event is planned for 8 hours, from 10 AM to 6 PM, so consider it a hacking sprint. We kick off with a short talk about the Estimote technology and the Internet of Things. Then we will present you with a couple of challenges and you will proceed with team building. Next, you have a few hours to build an awesome app that will make our jaws drop. Our mentors, Estimote engineers, will help you along the way. Finally, our jury will choose the best app. Winning team goes back home with Estimote Beacons for everyone!

Who can attend?
Hacktory Kraków is open to everyone, but we have only limited amount of space, so don’t hesitate and RSVP! Also, it’s about building mobile software, so remember you need some knowledge of Objective-C or Java.

The event is for free, but you have to register here:
